FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

There are 2 ways to buy a gown at Amara Bridal Boutique.

1- Special Order Gowns: Please allow 10 weeks to 25 weeks (depending on the designer) for these gowns to arrive. They are made by hand and created just for you. It is possible to receive your size and color immediately if the designer has your size in stock. 

2- Some gowns can only be ordered "off the rack" at such a great price. Off the rack gowns are listed in the description. This type of gown is one of a kind only available in the size listed. It's best to purchase these dresses right away as they sell out quickly. They are gently tried on store samples. Please reach out to us if you would like additional photos of any off the rack gown.

What are the prices of your gowns?

The majority of our brand new gowns can be ordered in your desired size and color for under $1200. We have the best pricing for brand new gowns of this quality in Cincinnati. Our gowns are priced $699 to $2200 

What sizes do you have in the store to try on? 

We carry sizes 2 to 26W in store for try on.  Gowns can be ordered in sizes 0-36W. If a gown is too large we use clamps to show you exactly how it will fit. If a gown is too small we use panels to show the fit. We try to have our top selling styles in at least 2 sizes. 

Question: How many people can I bring to my appointment?

We have 3 fully private bridal suites. We ask that you try to keep your party small. However, you are welcome to bring up to 6 guests plus the bride. 

Question: Are children and or food/drinks allowed?

We love wee ones. However, due to the delicate nature of our gowns we do ask that all children be of an age to stay seated at all times while in the store.  We ask that you do not bring colored beverages into the store. We have experienced thousands of dollars in damages due to spilled drinks, so we now have to ask for water only. A champagne toast for saying yes is absolutely allowed once the bride has changed out of the gown. 

Question: Do I need an appointment to come in to "look around"?

Yes. We prefer to give each & every bride that comes in our full attention. Same day appointments are often available. Just check our online appointment scheduler. We will get right back to you. We do ask that you notify us right away if you know you won't be able to make your appointment. This will allow brides on our waiting list to come in. We do not reschedule brides who do not notify us that they will miss their appointment. 

What will my appointment be like?

We will spend a bit of time getting to know you, your style, your venue & listen to your wedding dress dreams. Appointments usually allow time for at least 10 gowns to be tried on. You will have a large private dressing room. We do help you in & out of the gowns since most are difficult to manage on your own. You may want to consider how you plan to wear your hair on your big day. That will help you with choosing a veil or headpiece to complete your look. 

Question: How long does it take to get a wedding gown?

Delivery time can take up to 5 months if we special order your gown, so it is best to shop early. You need to consider that most brides will require alterations & you will want to have plenty of time to avoid feeling rushed. It is possible to purchase a gown off the rack if you are in a rush & designers do keep some inventory. We also have designers that only require 8 weeks for delivery. If your date is fast approaching you will still want to come in for an appointment. We can almost always find a gown for our rush order brides. 

Question: Do you have payment plans available?

Yes. We require a 50% deposit for special order gowns. The balance is due when your gown arrives. We require a 50% deposit & you have 30 days to pay off the balance for off the rack gowns. We can not hold off the rack gowns without a deposit. All deposits are non refundable.

What is your return policy? 

All deposits & sales are non-refundable as is the standard in the bridal industry.
